Asus Striker2 Formula Problem

I have a strange problem with my computer at the moment, I currently have 4 GIG of Kingston HyperX 1066 ram installed in my system which the Mobo correctly detects, However when I get into Windows (XP) 32bit it shows in windows that I have 3GIG installed is there any straight forward answer to this ?

you need windows or vista 64bit to show all of it.

32bit can only allocate 4gb of memory. But that includes memory for gfx card and cpu etc. Thus you can only see 3gb of your ram.

You will need to get xp or vista 64 if you want to see all your ram.

Thankyou for your replies, I was worried they may have been some kind of hardware failure. This has now elivated my worry
