Asus Strix B450 - Can't get second M2 drive to detect

I have two M2 drives connected to my Strix B450 motherboard. The primary M2 slot close to the CPU has my AData XPG drive in it, which it detects without issue and has Windows installed on.

I've added a cheap WD Green M2 drive into the secondary m2 slot, however I cannot get the system to recognise it.

Am I missing something obvious to make the BIOS recognise the second M2 drive?

Might have to check manual if secondary slot supports Sata and nvme or nvme . Also have to see if it shares lanes with any sata ports and if they are populated

Do you have a Ryzen APU installed? Populating both m.2 slots drops the first x16 lane to x8 mode. But an APU doesn't have enough lanes available to do that.

Cheers guys. It sounds like Asus B450 board don't support a mix of sata and pcie M2 drives. I didn't even know there was a difference!

I've returned the cheapo WD Green drive, will save up for a better nvme one I guess!
