I'm building a system for my sister and her boyfriend and got them an Asus TA-212 case and an Asus M2N-E motherboard. I notice the wires from the case for front USB and audio have both a block header and then the individual wires coming out of that. As both case and motherboard are Asus can I assume the block headers are designed for Asus motherboards and I can just plug them in without fiddling about with the individual wires and pins? I hate that bit and so it would be a great help if that was the case.

The block headers are actually an industry standard. I'm not sure why ASUS persist in having those little 'flowers' of extra individual pin leads, but yes, you can just plug them in (they only fit one way).
