It appears ASUS have ripped the Surface Pro 4, upgraded it and undercut the price with this little beasty.

Some bits that grabbed my attention vs the SP4:

1. Better storage
2. Better RAM options
3. Better screen resolution
4. Cheaper (just - but ships with the keyboard type cover)
5. Full size HDMI
6. Thunderbolt 3 connection
7. Better dock
8. Fast charge
9. Compatible with the ROG XG Station 2 (add a GTX 980 GPU)

Colour me interested. If it works better with external audio interfaces than the SP4 does then I'm sold...

Interesting....if it cn play modern games at 4K then im very interested as I have been after a new tablet but really want to upgrade my PC and cant do both

I still use the original T100 & find a great little tablet come laptop.
This looks like it could be a winner just depends on the price.

The specs look superb, but how much will it cost? I cannot see it undercutting the Surface 4 and the exchange rates won't help it either.

But it looks the dog's ......

In the UK its currently looking to be roughly the same price as the SP4 spec for spec (but all comparable models sport a larger SSD) this is in part due to exchange rates no doubt and the SP4 itself may go up as the pound moves, but it looks like it does come with the type cover as standard so there's 110 sheets saved there from the off.

I won't ever need top top spec in terms of performance so one of these with a dock and decent monitor and HDD would be a perfect solution for everything I'd ever need. Still expensive though.

UK prices are in now.

Surface Pro 4 i7, 8GB RAM 256GB SDD = £1799.00 - no type cover
Same Spec Transformer 3 Pro: £1399.95 - including the type cover

Surface Pro 4 i5, 4GB RAM, 128GB SSD: £849.99 - no type cover
Same Spec T3P but with 256GB SSD £999.95 - including the type cover

The T3P i5 8GB and i7 16GB RAM variants do not appear to be available in the UK yet.

This or something similar will be my next PC I think. Portable to take around but possible to plug in external GPU for gaming at home.
