Well after much hassle with the supplier of this laptop & the failure of the software I installed a fresh copy of win10. Now as generic as it it works but none of the apps that came with it work despite dopwnloading them from ASUS. I have asked ASUS for a restore image but their support really appears to very very inept when asking for this. Firstly they said RMA it & after stating I wanted a restore image they sent me a link how restore it despite them not even reading my request for a restore image. They followed up my request with another RMA request and again I asked if there was a restore image I could download, support from asus seems very poor or they are just thick. I would like to ask does anyone have a link to a restore image or can this laptop just function without all of the extra apps that fail to install. BTW all info on their webpage for this says go to the ms store which indeed is equally as terrible and does not have the required apps!
