Hi its been a while since i have been on here, anyway i have a very interesting problem,
I recently built a freind of mine a ryzen system using my old ryzen 1800xx cpou and 16 ddr4 ram and this asus b450 tuf b450-plus gaming everything went well up until we went to plug his trustmaster t150 steering wheel into the usbb at the back and once it was plug in the pc wound not boot but once unplugged the system booted fine any ideas all the other usbs works no problem?????

I have this mobo. How much power draw does the wheel require? Also which port exactly did you plug it into?

im not sure how much power the wheel draws its a thrust master t150 and we plug in into any of the rear usb ports and the same thing happens.

Could be a short, have you tested the wheel to make sure it isnt faulty? If it works in another device then it could be an issue with the backplate of your mobo.

the wheel works fine once into winddows we plug it in and sorted. how woulld i sort a short out wouldd i have to rma the board.

Well thats a piece you missed off or I didnt see.

I think I know why now. You need to set the BIOS to boot from SSD/hard disk as its thinking that is a bootable device and gets nowhere. i.e. you have it set to boot from USB for update/install reasons and have not set it back.

we have set that i think and we have the wheel plug in on boot up and the system wont boot so we have to take the usb cable out and the system boots.....
