i have 2 systems both have a similar issue, both are on latest 0805 bios

system 1 is:
asus tuf b550m plus-wifi with a 3800x corsair h100 pro rgb water cooler, 2tb sabrent rocker nvme, 750 superflower rgb, 2 x 16gb patriot viper 3600mhz running at 3600 using xmg profiles, msi tripplepower 2080ti

system 2 is:
asus rog strix b550-f with 3900, corsair h100 water cooler, 2tb sabrent rocket nvme, 1200i corsair psu, 4 x 16gb corsair pro rgb 3200 ram, gigabyte aorous 1080ti

both have similar issues.

system 1 sometimes when powering on, no gpu output and fans are spinning full speed on case no post no boot, turn the main power button off at wall, wait 10 seconds then it boots fine. the dram led is lit on the motherboard when it doesnt boot.

then both systems sometimes when it boots up and the logo is on screen after the bios splash, with the little swirly circle it will then look like its just about to boot into windows but then reboots and posts again and then loads into windows

it will do this maybe 2 times out of 10 boots works fine most of the time but it is annoying the heck out of me, first time back to amd after solid performance from intel and now lots of issues

both are fresh installs of windows, its bugging the hell out of me

im starting to think asus range of b550 motherboards are the problem here.

anyone had any similar problems?

ive not tried without the ram docp settings yet but this only happens once in a blue moon, ive run memory tests and all report back fine. it didnt do it when system 1 had a cheapy 60quid b450 msi-plus board in, so i dont expect it from a 200quid motherboard

still didnt work, i rolled the asus tuf b550 wifi back to 0603 bios, and its been working fine. 0803 and 0805 bios are ****** caused the patriot viper ram to not make the motherboard cold boot.

I got a B550-f board, 3700X recently and having boot issues. I've tried booting with everything connected, disconnected, different PSU, RAM (both on the QVL) and more with no luck. The machine will boot, work for hours. When I shutdown and try to boot up again, it doesn't. Sometimes it can take hours or days before it will boot again.

Any ideas?

I know you've sorted it. But I was having this problem last week. Only way I was able to get into the bio was to unplug the displayport cables and use hdmi only then load default values. Bit annoying but worked in the end.
