Im having a few issues which has left me scratching my head.

i have a new MoBo that simply wont pick up all 4 of my DDR4 RAM.
( Crucial Ballistix Sport 16GB (4x4GB) DDR4 2400MHz Quad Channel Kit )
The two middle light grey ports are picking up both sets of sticks fine at 8GB each; but when I add the 2nd set to the outer light grey ports it does not increase the memory amount to the total of 16GB it stays at 8GB, seems like the outer ports may not be working? Am i doing something wrong?

Please help

Maybe you have dead RAM? Take the two working sticks out and put the two non-working sticks in the same slots that worked. If that works you know the RAM is fine. If it doesn't work then you know there is a motherboard problem.

Swap the mems over first.

If not solving check the CPU socket for bent pins. Usually this is a contact issue.

Also make sure you did not over tighten the CPU cooler or warp the board in anyway when placing it in your case.

Deff a mother board problem as i have tested all 4 sticks and they read fine, Just when i put in all 4 sticks it still reads as 8GB when should be 16GB

Guess i'll dis assemble it and check again. Thanks guys, will keep posted if still having trouble.

Good call, I had the same issue with my GA-X99-SOC Force recently.

I swore blind it couldn't be "bent pins" until I took a really good look, 5 minutes with a cocktail stick + re-assemble = 16GB
