Asus U3S6 USB3.0 & SATA 6Gbps Gigabyte UD5 x58 Anyone Using This

just wondering as it only states compatible with certain asus boards ...is anyone using this on a gygabyte x58 ud5 board....if so does it boot to windows ok thanks.
 
Hi, using the Gig-x58A-UD5----------> cracking mobo can't fault it, if you manage to get a good i7900 series CPU. ;) My i7920 > 4.3GHz 24/7 stable. :D

Just tried google theres a bit info on it > Asus U3S6 USB3.0 & SATA 6Gbps Gigabyte UD5 x58.

I'm getting poor results using the U3S6 with a Vertex 3.

Will report back if I fix it, or if the Marvel controller on it isn't up to the job.
 
I have this board and the u3s6 it works fine. However I have read that running the vertex 3's off this card will limit its speed due to the limit of the PCI-E speed, whereas onboard Sata6 ports dont have this issue. There is a review testing this on one of the vertex 3 threads on the board here.
 
ahhhh the sata ports onboard are better then....mind made up going for a board ....as getting a 6gbs ssd so probably board would be better choice.
