Just got a U7, connected to my Audioengine 2 (2.0) speakers with a 3.5mm Twin Phono to Stereo Jack Cable...

Problem is when I do the speaker test, the left volume is coming through the right speaker and left out the right. Cable is connected properly but if swapped so left into right, it plays correctly.

Any suggestions?

I'd say they may of wire the plug's up wrong on the cable between your card & the U7 !... Was it OK before or have you just bought it/came with the U7...

I only got the U7 today, it's an old audio cable. Previously I used a mini-jack audio cable going into a internal sound card, but using that cable on the U7 means plugging it into the front headphone jack, rather have all the cables at the rear for neatness.

Ahh, read it again (to myself)... This cable is between the U7 & the speaker's ! Does it do it when you have the headphones in to the U7...

so where does the phono plug come in?

Surely you should be using RCA connectors on both ends? (unless they are satellite speakers)

The test works ok with headphones.

Here's the speakers connections...

Plugged into B and out to the U7's L/R.

Cable is wired wrongly inside the jack. I've had one before. The colour coding is just an indicator, nothing more. Just swap the RCA plugs round.

Doesn't matter really, but I think if was me with those speakers and a U7, I'd go for RCA at both RCA ends.

Depending on what length you require, this is a decent but inexpensive cable.

Thank you, but think I'm gonna send the U7 back. Listening to music and it keep stuttering, cutting out.
