Asus UL30A intermittent Graphics issue

I bought the Asus UL30A last April. A couple months ago i start getting random occurrences of artefacts on the screen.
And not even when i'm doing anything graphically intensive, just browsing. And the pc is not even hot. a couple times it happened after i turned it on from hibernation.

So i download ati tool to scan for artefacts and it comes up clean.

And i can't seem to provoke it. I bought it from the vehicular phone place and they have their own repair service (ie Asus doesn't cover it the warranty, they do). If they don't see the problem i doubt they'd do anything about it.

So how could i prove to me and to them that there is something wrong.

Until it gets reproduceable I'm afraid. I don't have the problem with mine so far (touch wood), and I've gamed with it. Maybe stress the GPU and see what happens.

This is a PITA.
It hasn't happened in a week despite me throwing some heavy graphics utilities and it flies through them all.

I know its going to go kaput once the warranty finishes in April.

Second Asus I've had with graphics issues, although my previous one at least lasted 5 years.

looks like a screen problem. Maybe a connector became loose. Shake it and prod it a little, especially round the hinge.

I know mine sometimes hang for a few seconds after hibernation, but not a screen problem.
