Hi. I've just got myself a Titan krypt system. AMD phenom 11 x4 850. On the BIOS splash screen a option of pressing 4 for unleashing mode. Pressing this tells me 4 cores unlocked. In the BIOS it give me the option to turn on/off 8 cores. I cannot adjust the calibration of the extra cores. 2% 4% ect. When booted I cannot get the extra cores to show. The temperature also raises from about 15 idle to 50 degree idle. Using a freezer pro cooler. If the CPU doesn't have any extra cores why would the temperature go up so
Any suggestions? Many thanks.
 
Your CPU only has 4 cores, that is it. I would suggest going back to the 4 cores setting, the reason for the jump in heat could be the board providing it additional volts thinking there are more cores. Don't kill your new system!
