Asus V2/V3 and quad core

It should just cope, with a top end quad core CPU, two sticks of RAM and hdd plus dvd and two usb devices, uber basic gpu (32mb pci equiv). Add a high end video card and i suspect it will be all over.

if you're buying a quad core (i.e. mucho expensive, unless it's the bottom end model), why are you skimping on case/psu?

I thought it would probably cope with a basic system. I have a spare hiper 580 (I think) and I'm hoping it would fit in.

I want a compact system (I've built a few Asus terminators before), but a Shuttle is too small and doesn't have enough (potential) HD space and a mini-tower is too big (deep) to fit on my desk.
