Has anyone purchased one of these yet? If so, is the bios locked down?

Just FYI. This SFF system in currently on offer. The bios is locked down and is not overclockable at all. You cannot access the memory settings or tweak this system at all.

I have been in great battles with Asus over this, and I was hoping that someone could prove me wrong. Whilst this is a great system for the non clocker, that's all it is.

I would rather others just be aware of this small but significant fact.

Really, has no one bought this barebone from OCUK.

Hey OCUK staff. Have any of you setup one of these, did you see the same bios features missing?

I would buy more of these if it wasn't for the missing memory settings and Overclocking page.

Oh well, got to find another product I guess.

I've neveer used it, but you could try Windows based overclocking. But needs redoing each reboot, e.g. CrystalCPUID

Thanks for your thoughts. However its a linux folding machine.

I think the buyer should have the choice if they want to overclock or not.

Ive been looking at this barebone myself, after some reseach it seems the motherboard used is an Asus P5K-VM. According to reviews the P5K-VM is a pretty good board good for 450FSB.

If they are locking the BIOS it should be simle to just flash it with the latest P5K-VM bios
