I was playing a game when suddenly my monitor just started looking like it does in the pic. There were no bumps to the monitor or anything else, it just started doing it out of nowhere. I initially thought it was a 3D Vision problem so I re-installed/updated all drivers and tried connecting via HDMI as well - still the same.

Then I tipped the screen down a bit and it started working again. Seems this mostly occurs if the monitor is angled upwards - but sometimes it does it even when the monitor is angled downwards.

I'm thinking it must be an easily fixable loose connection inside. I haven't taken the cover off of the monitor yet and I actually don't even know how as there are no visible screws around it at all. And obviously this would invalidate the warranty, awesome :p

The fact that it is linearly right down the middle is suspicous. Do you use any inbuilt software like the Asus equivalent of magitune or magicolour? You could try diabling all that stuff in the monitor's OSD.

Hi there, I strongly suggest you don't open up the monitor. Your best bet is to contact the retailer you bought it from as they will tell you what to do (they may send you to ASUS).

Don't use any inbuilt software. I purchased it from here last week but I phoned up Asus first - they've already issued an RMA so all good for now. Cheers for the responses
