Been looking at buying a new monitor, it will be mainly for gaming and so was looking at getting a 120hz one. I had made my mind up to buy the Asus VG236HE, but the last day or so ive been reading about problems with ghosting on this monitor and now i aint sure whether to get this one or keep looking :(

I've had this about a month and paid £200 from ocuk. I use it via DVI, no ghosting at all, use it @ 120hz on bf at 1080p and it's flawless!

not sure if i should wait and get BenQ XL2420T, as it comes out in a couple of weeks. think i should at least wait till some people have reviewed it as i wont be upgrading the monitor angain for a while

Fingers crossed mine should be here in the morning, I read a heap of reviews before ordering as I had my heart set on a few different monitors, but bad reviews forced me to look else where.

So I can give you my 2cents on the monitor tomorrow, will be used solely for '2d' 120hz gaming.

i think i'd only use it for 2d all the 3d stuff i having thought was not very good,

grrrr maybe not today then.

If this makes sense, my item has been 'delayed' in dispatch, but when I tried to cancel the order they say it has been dispatched?

Also took 15 hours for them to decide it was delayed, what a kick in the crotch.

i went to order mine today and the place i was gonna get it from have just stopped doing it, so i'm now hunting out another deal

The place I ordered from still has stock apparently, well known retailer that sells books ;)

Though weather or not they arse about for 22 hours before deciding the dispatch is delayed is another question.

Edit: yes you need to order a cable, afaik it ONLY comes with the power cable, so your going to need your own dvi/hdmi cable.

are we talking about a rainforest?
I've got a hdmi cable, would i be better going dvi?
I've got a asus 470gtx card

is there any reason they are going from websites, are they end of line now??

Yes thats the place, mine came to £237.98, but that was including next day (sat) delivery, which has now been refunded. And if my delivery status isn't changed by 1pm today I'm going to badger them for further discount.

HDMI should be fine, not a clue why there so hard to come by at the moment, but I'm far from up-to speed when it comes to monitors, so it could be highly likely they are becoming EOL.

do i need a 3d hdmi cable?
also if i wanted to run a ps3 though it would i need any other cables?

I wouldn't have thought so, not unless they carry extra bandwidth over a regular HDMI cable?

I'm going to be using a DVI-D Dual Link cable for mine, and as said, I wont be touching the 3D side of things. 120hz 2D all the way.

all ordered should be here thur-sat next week, found a nice 3d cable for £6 too
cant wait!!!

Cool :) At this rate your going to have yours before mine arrives! Starting to get really annoying now, they can't even tell me what courier they use.

I wish they wouldn't use customer service centers on the other side of the world, I keep getting told it will 'be with you tomorrow' and they can't understand that tomorrow in the UK is a Sunday :(

My last big buy from them I'm afraid.

Well 5 days later it has finally arrived! I'll get it setup in the next hour or two and have a play and leave my feedback :)

Just installed, and already I'm wow'd and haven't even played a game yet, the colours are so vibrant and smooth.

Also this DID come with a dvi-d cable, despite reviews I read saying it only comes with the power cable.

I seriously can't believe I've been living without this for so long :D

Edit: this smooth and I'm still at 60hz, have to get that sorted right away :D

Edit2: on 120hz now, astonished I really am, any settings within the monitor I should adjust/change?
