turned up friday at 7pm, its the vg236, is that the same as the he version?
i'm not alowed it till xmas, but i got the wife to test it all works. she was very impressed with it hooked up to a ps3

yes, HE = Standard 3d 120hz monitor, H = Same as HE but comes with Nvidia 3d vision kit and costs nearly twice as much. So the standard monitor on its own its just stamped as a VG236, the H/HE are just prefixes to distinguish what has the 3d vision kit.

At least you will have a new toy to play with come xmas morning

I also purchased this monitor recently for my PC (Brilliant!) but was also considering hooking the PS3 up to it but since it doesn't have any speakers how would I get sound?

No, but I assume I could purchase a USB versions which are made for the PS3 possibly? Cheers I'll have a look

Think most of the steel series headsets/headphones are cross compatible with PC/360/PS3

you could also use the optical out on the ps3 or use the phono output
