Guys,

Just got my monitor today andi cant seem to get the 3d glasses to work.

I have charged them and the green light comes saying there charged, but when running the setup to test, ie. look at the images with left and right lens there both the same no difference so no 3d.

I looked on net and apparently i should see 1 image in the left and the 2nd image in the right lens but all i am seeing is both images in both lens as if i was looking at screen with no glasses?

Also I dont have any green light on the inbuilt immiter (should they be one) have i missed something obvious or is the screen faulty?

I have also installed latest drivers, and is on 120hz..

anyone that has the same screen maybe can shed some light on this issue.

Thank you in advance

I have noticed the 3d IR Mode in the menu is greyed out and is on normal but cant be selected. Do you have to enable the inbuilt imitter or is it powered on with the monitor, as there is no indication ie light on the imitter itself?

In your start menu there should be an 'Enable 3d' from the software installed, then when going through the setup the top of the monitor by the emitter should have a green 3d symbol showing.

ok i get that but cant get it turned on for any games , nothing happens the only time the 3d works is when either running the setup wizard or nvidia demo, thats it.

So I need someone with the same monitor to tell me how they use it etc, I have booked my monitor in for a RMA on Tuesday, but just want to make sure its not user error rather than hardware failure.

I have to say so far its been a nightmare.... I may of been expecting too much but surely I thought it was a case of double click icon to turn on, turn on glasses and play a 3d compatable game, then simply turn glasses off and turn 3d off.

But so far I dont know if its me doing it wrong, expecting too much or hardware failure. Like I said have booked for RMA on tuesday and if they test it they may get 3d working in terms of 3d nvidia setup but wont test on a game and therefore will say there is nothing wrong with it, and until someone actually helps me and proves otherwise there is something wrong.

So please, please someone help me, begging for direction here as I am new to 3D I guess I dont know what to expect to know if its working or not :(

I'll look for you shortly, think you need to activate it in the 3d Control Panel or something, I'll check a bit later for you.

Ok well it was working fine just now but I changed something somehow and now can't get the emitter on at all for the setup wizard, I'll investigate after food. I remember having trouble at the start, it's not plug and play to me :(

Ok, the issue causing my emitter to not turn on was that under 'Configure Surround, PhysX' I changed my PhysX settings > Processor to my Gfx card (680), and off of Auto-Select. Try putting yours on auto-select and see what happens?

Edit: Scrap that, that only worked for the demo. I've broken mine trying to help fix yours ehe.

Having the same issue as decribed above..did anyone get to the bottom of this ?

Monitor arrived today and its great apart from i cannot get the emitter to show any signs of life..

anyone?

Hi,

First I suggest performing a clean install of your drivers, Then Enable Stereo 3d in the nvidia cpanel, click on Set up Stereoscopic 3d. Then Click Enable Stereoscopic 3d, make sure to also check that under Stereoscopic 3d type that Asus 120HZ 3d LCD is selected, then load up a game.

If you don't get the green text in bottom hand corner of the screen that tells you a little about the compatibility try pressing CTRL + ALT + INS

You can also try pressing CTRL + T as this hides or shows the 3d effects that are needed for the glasses to work.

Have done a clean install, enabled stereo 3d in the nvidia control center and this brings me to the setup wizard..the emitter simply wont spring into life..i have tried enabling as you described and the emitter wont turn green, the 3d IR option in the monitor setup is also greyed out.

I had the same problem as yourself when I had mine delivered on Friday.

In the end I got a replacement from overclockers on Saturday and this one is fine.

Maybe they got a bad batch in?

Have been reading a fair few posts on line with people saying the same thing..seems there are a good few with this issue arriving with people recently. Damn annoying as they have been out for over a year and you would have thought they would have ironed out issues with the hardware.

How did oc replace it..did you have to send that one back for testing first?

They were really good, offered to pick it up and then get me a new one out.

I was in a hurry so took it back myself and they tested and replaced within about 20 mins :)

That's cool man, glad you got sorted...Bizarrly it started working after I restarted my system for the 30th time. Hoping it stays this way as I don't want to rma it. 3d is great from my v limited time with it so far.
