Asus VG49V 49" ultrawide with 144hz

It's the same as the Samsung CHG90 though.

Samsung do have a 1440p version in the works though which should reach about 600cd/m2 which still isn't good enough for me for HDR.

I'm pretty sure I'm going Philips 43" HDR this week but its only 60hz. To be fair I only have 1 1080ti so I can't really go over 60hz at 4k anyway.

So 3840x1080p 49" screens we have so far:
Samsung - HDR600
MSI - HDR400
Asus - Regular monitor no HDR

There's also the upcoming Samsung C48J89. Stripped down version of the C49HG90 without HDR and a few other changes (refer to news piece on my site).

you may not be able to get much over 60 fps at 4k but the tearing and overall response is going to be a whole lot more manageable with 60ish fps @ 144hz vs 60ish fps @ 60hz unless you are one of those people not bothered by vsync lag.

I own the Samsung 49 Inch Ultrawide on my main rig and on my Cabin rig is the Acer Predator 34 Inch Ultra Wide. I also have the Philips 4K monitor in the Cabin as well.

For the games that support the 32 9 Resolution games like Far Cry 5 and A C origins MMOs and racing games there is just no comparison. The only thing that would tempt me to upgrade is the new Samsung 49 Inch this year with even more pixels.

I too dismissed the low resolution of the 49 Samsung but when it was almost new for £700 I could no resist.

Its the most immersive experience I have ever had in PC Gaming.
