My drivers were working properly until yesterday I tried to install a different version of ccc. Now I can't resinstall the vga driver from the cd and I am getting blue screen with stop errors:

0x0000001E
0xFFFFFFFFX0000005
0xFFFFF800030c000c7
0x000000000000000000

Can anyone help please?

Show I just format my hard drive and reninstall windows 7?

Never use driers from a cd, they're always out of date

Can you get into Windows in safemode? (tap F8 a few times just after the bios screen), you should get a safemode menu.

Boot in via safemode and either do add/remove programs on the driver software, or go to device manager and uninstall the driver from there.

^Driver sweeper as said above will help too.

Hi, thanks for the information! I followed the steps, but Windows 7 is still behaving erratically. It prompted me to do a system restore, which at least returned my screen to the native resolution, indicating that the problematic drivers had been removed. Now though, my windows add remove programs isnt working as it should - when I go to install something, it initialises as expected, but then the installer shield bar just minimises and stays minimised for ages, and then doesnt properly install the software. The same goes for unistallations.... Should I just back up my files, format the drive and reinstall?

Thanks for helping out so far, I'm really hoping I can fix this :)

With the sort of problems your experiencing at this stage I would do exactly that but this time when you get everything back up and running (drivers, apps installed etc) take an image of your HDD using the built in Windows 7 image creation tool. It makes things so much easier if you run into problems again in the future as you can just restore the image you had taken ;)
