Hi all. OH needs a high battery life basic machine for admin work, odd Netflix when out and about. Seen one of these in local classifieds. 2gb ram 32gb SSD.
Read online that these can be upgraded for ram, wondering if anyone has done this?and can clarify the capacity of ram in this machine?told low voltage ddr3 1600 sodimm work... Thanks

Check Crucial's memory db to see if you can upgrade the ram on that model (don't buy there - its usually bloody expensive because they change the serial numbers to make it look like they have different ram chips to the generic sticks with the same timings they also stamp their names on).

According to these its embedded and non-upgradeable.

You'd be better off with a proper, older laptop with an i3/i5, one of the newer cheap ones with the Pentium N4200 (Acer Swift 1), one of the Chinese jobbies with the Celeron 3450 chip (Chuwi Lapbook Air / Teclast F7) or if you're intent on silly small form factor (netbook), look at the older Ideapad 110s (11.6", 4gb/64gb version).
