will asus x1900cf graphic card work ok on a sapphire xfire mob,some have said only a sapphire xfire works better on sapphire xfire mobo

The Asus card will work fine, infact you could get any pair of crossfire cards from any manufacturer you want & they would work fine on that mobo.
