Asus X58 Sabertooth or Asus Rampage III Gene maybe Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD5

any thoughts on what ones better ??

or any other boards tht would go well with the i7 950

anyone know why the sabertooth is so cheap ? its the only reason a have not bought it yet

The gene is Matx but I'm sure you knew that. I'd take the sabretooth everytime. Runs cool, quality parts throughout, overlooks well, good price and the reviews are excellent.

Sabertooth is better overall but no one can argue that the Gene is awesome for its size/price!

The Sabertooth is a great board but the realtek network card is pretty poor if that matters to you

I would be inclined to go with the Sabertooth, the board gets good reviews.

Assuming you will be using a case which can take a ATX board.

case am thinkin about is huge t600 maybe , aint had a great look for cases if anyones any recomendation would be helpfull?

I think the sabretooth looks gross, you could get R2E which is an amazing board for not much more....

Cannot argue with the reviews of the sabretooth though

PS OCUK also have some R2E's in B grade for 129 so would be cheaper....

I just bought a saber there awsome

and for most of your information the pictures dont do it justice untill you get your own hands and eyes on it.
and the temps on the northbridge are the best i have seen yet 36c @4.2HT I7

It's cheap because socket 1366 is now a mature technology imo. Id buy it over any other one you listed.

I have an ASUS Rampage III Extreme, very very good board but very expensive. Read some good reviews on the Sabertooth, don't think you will go far wrong with that tbh.
