OK couple of questions

Why does it show up as RADEON in device manager? Is it a RADEON? I downloaded the catalsyt driver, and installed it through that. Excuse my ignorance but this is my fiorst ATI card, been an nvidia person before now.

S3, my card apparantly doesn't support this, so i can't have HDR turned on in Oblivion which is annoying, is there anyway to enable this, or is the hardware just not there to do it?

I have googled these questions in various ways but not got any answers.
 
All new ATi Cards are Radeon, and some older ones.

As for HDR... the X800 series cant do SM3 HDR, but it can do a bloom effect to get the same result.

Oblivion cant support HDR + AA at the same time either, and AA looks better, so ditch the HDR :p
