Which CPU's will go into this board?

Baring the obvious, 5960, 5930, 5820

Would a 3820 go in here for example looking to find the cheapest chip to test in the board.

nope, X99 does only support Haswell-E

If you bothered to check the cpu support list you could have found out for yourself in 30 seconds. Just pointing out the obvious.

It's not on the list but isn't that a cpu that's supposed to be in dual socket boards?
