ok i am not talking about the hardware on the card itself but more the size of the card. i wanted this card cause not only does it look good on paper but it was to be pci-express, good news i thought i will be able to get good sound again in my 680i MB with sli setup, how ****** i was to find that the card is to long and it hit the first bank of memory, i could use bank 2 and 4 except i found my memory just doesn't work as well on those 2 slots (get a number of random c1 errors when i use 2-4 slots it a 680i thing) there is no room for it between the sli graphic cards (both are 2 slot cards).
so basically ill have to stay with the on board sound for now,

also decided to try the d2x on a p35 mb i have, again it hits the memory slots making it all but useless on that mb

have i just been unlucky with my choice of MB's or did they make the dx2 about .5cm too long

funny enought it is a asus MB a p5k deluxe, which is worst than the 680i as neither memory slot 1 or 2 can be use (it may be possible to use slot 2 but it be dam tight and i can't using crucial ballistix memory)

that very interresting about using the spaer pci-e 16x slot, i must go read up on it before i try it
