I've got an Asus Xonar DGX soundcard.

YOUR BASKET
1 x Asus Xonar DGX 5.1 PCI-Express Sound Card with built in Headphone Amp £24.95
Total : £28.86 (includes shipping : £3.26).

I get very bad interference when using headphones. I've ruled out the front port, it still does it when plugged directly into the back of the card.

It's in the slot above my GPU, could this be the cause?

Any ideas?

it could be picking up interference from the GPU, can you move it to another slot? It might also be disconnecting the front port audio lead at the sound card and trying the rear socket because the lead can sometimes act as an antenna.

I'm going to bump this.

The noise pretty much disappeared, but has come back worse now!
The amount of noise/interference coming through the speakers port is unbelievable. I even get noise when I move the mouse. It's unusable when playing a demanding game.

BUT, everything is OK if I use the front port instead. Very strange! Time to RMA it?
