Has anyone managed to get a Xonar card working under Ubuntu 10.4?

I can get onboard sound from my motherboard but Ubuntu doesn't even see my Xonar card.

I read your review some time ago. It's a different card, I think your card has been supported for quite sometime from what I've been reading.

Thanks Jack, I'll give it a shot later.

This is the message I get:

I reinstalled Ubuntu and tried it again and the samething happened. I'll try your suggestions a go now.

Thanks!

I've tried all those suggestions now. I don't think it's a hardware problem as I can log into and use Windows fine. Alsa has been updated in 10.10 as I tried the Alpha 2 this afternoon and it worked straight away.

I've been wanting to try Archlinux for quite sometime so I'll give that a go this weekend.

If I get stuck I'll give you a poke.

Thanks very much for the help!
