Why does the Xonar software not save my settings?

I use ventrilo practically every day so i need the microphone port to work all the time, if i tick "voiceEX" why will it not stay ticked?

I seem to have to tick that in order for it to work at all, anyone help me out with this?

EDIT: oh and thank you very much OcUK + royal mail, ordered it at 4:40pm yesterday, hoped for the best with RMSD and w00t it arrived today :D

hmm well when i try ventrilo without the vocalFX thing ticked no one can hear me, as soon as i tick it they can hear me

and as soon as i close the control panel they cant hear me again because it automaticly unticks itself >_<

try chatEX and click on App List and add vent, i think that should work and be perm...

dont know what the point of VoiceEX is? it says for 3D games but wtf does that mean?...

mabye its vista/xp difference?

Nope didnt work, added the ventrilo exe to the apps list, it doesnt turn it on when i open ventrilo >_<

I'm going to do a reinstall this evening (what a fun saturday night eh?) and put vista64 on in place of XP (the only thing stopping me from doing it before was creative drivers) so ill see if it works with vista

Do you think i should use the drivers off the CD? i just went straight to the latest ones on the asus website

ahhh i think I've sorted it, i THINK i needed that DS3D GX thing turned off

Haven't tested it yet properly but so far so good

Damnit turning that off didnt fix it

Yep ive done that, it seems to default back to wave though ive noticed :S

GAHHH

AGGGH MY POOR EARS

Having more problems now, i am now on vista, the vista drivers seem better than the XP ones, the mic works properly etc but now i have another problem

Whenever someone talks on ventrilo theres this highpitched noise in the background and sometimes it'll randomly scare the crap out of me by making REALLLY loud noise (nothing but noise)
