Anyone tried this card on windows 11 as the drivers don't officially support it,

Also how good is on-board sound these days is it still worth using a sound card?

I haven't tried the Phoebus, However i have the Essence 2 and Windows 10 x64 Drivers install fine and work flawless on 11.

I can see the Phoebus does have 10 Drivers so give them a bash, Id say they would work.

As for you're on board sound question They have gotten better as newer boards come out with better sound chips, But they still imo don't come anywhere near a proper good high end sound card.

That's great to know, does the software for the card work under Windows 11 as well don't know if you've tried this
On my particular card everything works, the driver, the control panel no issues at all.
I'm not sure how different the Phoebus is to the essence.
I do have a feeling Asus will drop support in whatever version of window's we get after 11 though which will be disappointing considering there's some cracking high end cards out there that have plenty of life left in them as long as the drivers keep up.

It's sad to see, can't really see Asus coming out with any new cards
I think its because the majority of people just purchase "Gaming headphones" these days and don't really focus on what's actually driving them.
Especially because most of them are USB.

And a lot more enthusiast are going with External Dacs etc.
