Asus Z77 Sabertooth boot from PCIe

Hi all,
I am looking at adding a 1tb Intel m.2 SSD via a PCIe converter card. My question is will I be able to boot from this device on my Asus Sabertooth Z77 Mainboard?

PC is -
Asus Z77 Sabertooth
16GB Corsair Vengeance memory
500GB Samsung 840 Evo
8TB Seagate Iron Wolf Pro ST8000NE004
2GB GTX 660

G510 Keyboard
Razor Gaming Mouse.

Almost certainly not (unless there's a hacked bios out there).

If I got one, would I still be able to use it as an extra drive alongside my current 2.5" SSD? (aka as a D: drive from within windows)

Yes. At least I believe so, not tried it on a chipset that old.

You can mod the bios to add the modules to the bios. I've done it myself, it's not too hard.

Certain nvme drives will have a legacy OPROM which will allow it to be recognised and bootable in older systems. The 950 PRO does, but I don't know any others.
