Asus z790 apex motherboard bent.

Seal was cut, the main reason I looked at it was your thread talking about some of these boards where bent so I took a look, it's bent on the other side as well, and checked the board all over then looked at the cpu socket and almost had a heart attack at the state of it, just waiting to see what they say but I bet they will blame me, like I've said there was no need for me to look at the board when it arrived as I'm ordering the cpu next week, I payed with PayPal so if I get no luck with the shop not ocuk BTW I'll start a dispute.

Ready packed up for rma now, just wish I had looked at it when it came, I just stored it as I don't have a cpu yet, even if the socket was OK I would still send it back as the bends are very bad in all my years I've never had a board arrive like this.
 
Little update the shop offered to send the board back to asus for repair also saying they may not do so,they also said there was signs of the board being mounted also cpu showing signs of wear,plus they found corrosion on the back of the board im shocked,these are their rma dept pictures




 
Yes they are how nice of them, I've been told that not burn marks it's left over flux at the factory,I bet if I did have a cpu and installed that board it would have blown my whole system.
 
Replacement was sent out Monday got it next day, board looks good a little bend but nothing to worry about, also got £50 off a cpu when I buy one, looking to get the 13600kf as I game don't think I'll need the 13700kf.
