Fitted this system together last night and I've had the same problem since I
first booted it up. When I'm in the Asus BIOS screen, the mouse pointer flicks
around as if someone is jiggling the mouse about. It makes it just about impossible
to navigate around the menu system as the mouse pointer constantly returns to
the centre of the screen, though I just managed to do enough in the BIOS using
the keyboard to set up my hard drives the way I wanted them.
Before someone says "try another mouse" I did, but the mouse cursor even
moves when there's no mouse connected at all! Not as much as when a mouse is
connected but it STILL jiggles around a bit, returning the mouses focus to the
centre of the screen.
I tried updating the BIOS via the Utlility in Windows - twice - and I'm now on the latest
available BIOS for the board, but both updates made no difference to this problem.
There's been no problems at all in Windows 7 (64-bit) with the mouse or anything
else - everything is running fine, and the CPU is sitting around 29-31°C with the big
120mm Raijintek fan only spinning at around 550rpm.
It's really annoying me that I cant get into the BIOS to have a look around.
Anyone any ideas on what might be causing this?
