I thought somebody might find this interesting, I bought one GTX 780 GHz edition from OC Nov 2013 for like £430 or so. This weekend I found a 2nd hand 'like new' one for £230 so I just had to get it

But there are a few little differences, the ends of the heat pipes, the decals:

Now, I just gotta find that SLI bridge, I think it's under the bed...

Wow, never seen that before. Is that a corsair 540 air case? Once you get sli running right id be interested in seeing what your temps are like. Run a pair of wf cooled 780's here and things do get a bit hot on the top one.

Regarding the heatpipes, was there a rev2 of the ghz model? There are two different versions of gigabytes standard wf 780, i have one of each and the rev2 is an inch shorter than the older card. Rev1 uses 1x 6 pin and 1x 8 pin pcie cable, rev2 uses dual 8 pins.

Yeah it's a 540, so far the top one runs 5C more than the bottom but I changed the top fan at the front to blow down instead of be an exhaust as there really isn't anything hot that end of the case. I'm hoping it will create a sort of cyclonic effect and get more fresh air down the bottom.

*edit*

they both definately have 2x 8-pins, I think they're both rev 2, I did hear somebody else complain in a review that their decal was backwards, I imagined like mirror image but maybe he meant upside down!

27 and 26 here on mine at idle. But in games the top one can sometimes hit 80c, usually mid 70's though. Bottom one never go's over 65c. One slot gap between them.
