I had a few in my younger days. Took more care as I got older but also quickly forgot about my silliness and was silly.. I got away with it luckily but also because I did get checked up quite regularly. I think if you're promiscuous you need to get yourself checked regularly, why wouldn't you? IIRC the villages (retirement places in Florida) are well known for basically having one of the highest instances of STI's in America.
