At Last!

After 5 month's of building my pc Iv'e managed to overclock at last
When I went to overclock 5 month's ago for some reason the mobo would never save my changes thus resulting in going back to 1.6ghz so I gave up. Last night for some strange reason it started saving (mite of been because I clicked load optimized setting's?)

Well here's how far Iv'e got so far

Idles around 40-43
Under Load 73
Stock Cooler, Bedroom is warm no chance of getting cold here

Is 73c ok or to high im going to get A Noctua NH-U12F CPU Cooler next week so that should bring temp down some.

Have only run prime 95 small ffts for 1 hour but will run 12hours this weekend.

Computer runs so much quicker now going to leave it at 2.6 intill I get new cooler.

Not to much experience on that chip (sure someone will correct me if i am wrong here!)
I would be ok with that in full load... some people would not recommend going above 65/70c but if for what you are doing everyday its not constaintly above 60/65c I would not be to worried... You arent going to get to much more stress on your CPU than when you run Prime95

I would'nt be happy if my chip went above 60c under load so I'd be worried about those temps (if it was mine..!!).

Change the cooler ASAP bud would be my advice.

It never goes above 50c for what I use it for daily only on prime but will get the new cooler and have a go at lapping while its out.

Now 33-34 At idle and full load is 62-63, amazing what A good clean can do.
