At what point will my CPU bottleneck my GPU

I have a stock i5-2500k and a GTX480.

I am about to overclock my CPU and am wondering how far roughly I can increase the clock speed before it becomes pointless with my single 480.

I will not be buying a second any time soon so only want to overclock to the maximum point before my GPU is holding it back.

Thanks in advance.

Doh..! Wrong way around!

Meant to say, at what point will my single GTX480 GPU bottleneck my i5-2500k if I keep increasing the clock?

Basically looking to overclock to 4.5 / 4.7 GHz and was wondering if there will be any benefit of going this high with only one 480.

from what i understand

- yes, overclock the cpu, the system will perform better in general

- no, dont bother overclocking if your only gaming, the GPU will bottleneck first

:p

So how high can I overclock until I reach the point where I won't benefit from it any more roughly?

It all depends on what games you play that will make a diffrence if its cpu or gpu limiting your fps
