Basically, my pc (in sig) was working fine with 2gb tracers, then I bought another set. So when I installed 4x1gb, my pc would just ramdomly crash and reboot (no bsod). I then tried the following.

Running the northbridge at 1.40v. Didn't fix issue

Then I tried testing the ram too see if one stick was borked:-

Just using the new ram in the previously unused dimms. WORKED
Just using the new ram in the previously used dimms. WORKED
Using the old ram in the previously unused dimms. WORKED
Using the old ram in the previously used dimms. (Obliviously WORKED, how it was before)
Using a mixture of one new and old stick in all varitaions of dimms. WORKED

At this point, I thought maybe I should update the bois. So updated to the latest non-beta 1004.

Still no joy, so i thought maybe the northbridge needs more time for 1.55 - FIXED THE PROBLEM.......UNTIL

I get ramdom crashes/shutdowns, then when I turn on I'm greeted with a checksum error (this also occurs when just restarting sometimes as well).

As I don't won't to have to clear cmos every hour just do use my pc. Are there any known issues with the p5ke-wifi runnign with 4gb ram.

I think my mobo is dying/dead

Please Help!

Cheers for the replies, I have fix installed, and the ram is 2.2 which is what the sticker on the side said, (I thought higher than 2.2. was bad anyway?)

Any sugguestions on the checksum error part, is the board dead?

Is there a way to flash my bios back to a previous version?

I had an issue yesterday where my system would not be stable with my 2x1Gb of tracer at 2.2, it would only like 2.1 strangely enough, different mobo i know, but it cant hurt to try

Yeah the ram timings are 5-5-5-15-60 (read somewhere that might help?!?!?)
Will try at 2.1v

However anyone any sugguestions for my ramdom checksum errors - I presume that a dodgy bios flash ??
