if they can pull it off, that would be amazing as the atari 7800 isnt as powerful as the ST ! or even the BBC or Atari 80XE etc

Looks impressive at this stage, but the 7800 struggles with scrolling once you get a few more sprites, and has a terrible sound chip, so it will be interesting to compare a final version to the C64 one, which is better in both those regards, but has a worse colour palette and fewer hardware sprites.
