The Coolermaster ATCS 110 has always been one of my favorite cases ever (along with the 201) i regretted the day i sold mine, until i found one on the MM a couple of months ago.

I have slowly been gathering parts to put together, to build an understated watercooling rig.

I have swapped out the original black 80mm fans for some modern one's.

I started with the top rad, just a single 120mm. i cut the hole myself and after a few experiments decided on the XSPC fan gaurd.

Also today i got the side panel back from the laser company.

The guy i got to cut the logo's cut my 120mm hole to big (he's as gutted as i am) he cut it 157mm, fs.

Anyho he is sending me a 120mm cut out to fit over the hole, im not sure what to do with it yet, so suggestions welcome.

Could you not just a whole lot more away from the large circle and put a window in?

Looking good so far though :)

I have another side panel, the 'official' windowed coolermaster one that you could but at the time.

So im sure you can undersatnd i dont want two windowed panels, i want two different ones ;)

I'd tell him to stick it, charging you for something thats wrong.

I work with CNC machinery such as hypertherm plasma cutters and lazer cutters all day long. I'd love to know how he got 157mm from 120mm :p

I know, but where would that of got me, its not as if you can pick up another ATCS110 side panel :( dont get me wrong i told him how p%&*£d off i am about it. Everypne makes mistakes, i thought it best to be (mostly) civil and get the guy to make amends.

Interested in doing something similar to this with my 110,whats the cost of those laser cuts mate, would like something cut on the front door ATC like yours, are you able to cut through that thickness (front door) with a laser.

Good job, shame about the side hole but really liking everything else.

Cost was £25.00 + p&p. My email is in trust if you want the detials. (im sure this was a one off mistake) he has laser cut for Coolermaster direct.

Yes it will cut through the thivkness of the 110 front door, its a laser :D

The side hole is going to be ok, im confident i can salvage it ;)

ooh ooh

can you take one of the screws out of the front mesh and take a photo of it for me? (the screw)

i removed mine about 4 years ago, and can't find a suitable replacement for them :) (now it just sits there gingerly)

don't use LED fans mate, that'll butcher it, and also, a Thermalright Ultra Extreme will not fit in properly, it'll stick out by about 2mm :p

Yes i can do, i think i might even have 4 suitable screws you can have :)

I have 2 x blue coolermaster cold cathodes (if i use them), and i will disable the leds on the 80mm fans, i want to keep this subtle and old school. Silver/Black/chrome and maybe a hint of blue ... from the lights.

Im on with a 201 mod at the moment :)

I had it lying around and was in need of new parts for my fileserver, so I thought I'd kill 2 birds with one stone. Im going for an understated (ish) black/white theme.

Briliant, have you posted a log?

Wedge, chances are i've got the screws in my screw box, but i don't want to damage the thing putting the wrong ones in

a pic of one would be perfect :)

thanks

Just remembered i promised you a piccy of a screw...tis a bit beat up but....

Also got the 'polo mint' aluminium circle from the laser guy today, ive covered it in mesh and am now torn between mounting it on the inside or outside.

Like the side panel. Very nice indeed.

Looking great so far. Don't know if i would have the guts to cut up such a classic case mind you. Like the work on the top fan too. Really pro looking.

I would love to own a 201 again. Had one some years ago and sold it. Wish i hadn't now.

I now what you mean about cutting it, i wanted an old school/subtle mod, but due to circumstances out of my control, ive ended up doing this.

I now like it ... i think, now just need to wait for my mobo to come back from RMA and im good to go.

As far as owning one again, just keep an eye on the bay and the MM here, its where i got a second chance of owning one ;)
