The Amd 4000 OEM Cpu are hitting 3ghz at a very low price theres not many left as there all FX 57 beaters
maybe sell the cpu you have now and buy the above

you shouldn't have too many problems clocking an extra 600mhz if you're at 2.4 as your sig says
not to be sneezed at, but is it a gaming rig or multimedia etc?? you might be better off going dual core now there prices have dropped also.
