Please, this one is almost banned on some sites (usually under a 'no religious discussion' rule). Dragging it out here is pointless.

I use AMD but that is only because I don't want to spend much money and I play games. If I wanted a computer for video editing or graphics work then I would go with pentium.

Both processors are good.

AMD are good for games.

Pentium4 are good for decoding/encrypting/general number crunching.

This has been done so many times, and usually it turns into a raging argument. Each has their benefits and drawbacks, so it depends entirely on what you want it for.

PS - I use both.
