Hi everyone,

I have failed over and over trying to unlock the 4th core and gave up but decided to overclock the CPU running 3 cores.

I am fairly new to this and have been reading around on how to do it. From what I gather my only way is to increase FSB as my multiplier is capped at x15. I have done this in a small step to get 3300mhz but what I am not too sure about is reducing the DRAM Frequency. Lowest I can put mine is 850mhz in the BIOS, do I keep it low as that or put it higher? I am using 1333mhz dual.

Also the voltage seems a little odd. I have it set to Auto and it is at 1.425, and since I have overclocked and running prime95 test is sitting at 1.5v. Is that totally over the top as I cant find a site that tells me my stock voltage.

I cannot find Vcpu-nb voltage on my BIOS only Cpu over voltage my temps at the moment are 38-39C but would that be because the voltage is set so high?

Oh and im using Titan Fenrir for cooling.

Thanks for any replies

Right ive managed to get to 3.5ghz temps are 37-38C running prime95 been going for 20minutes with no problems.

I got to 3.6ghz but after 8 minutes it blue screens and restarts. Tried upping the voltage a bit but did the same.

Anyone got any ideas why thats happening, or should I just leave it at 3.5ghz.

Thanks.

Yea I cant get it stable on 3.5ghz either. It ran for an hour but blue screened again.

Is this likely a voltage problem or just it wont run that high?

You may need to increase your memory voltage slightly ? I would wait for a more experienced AMD overclocker to post as i,m new to AMD too.

I dunno what to do lol. I put it down to 3.45Ghz and running the test now see how long it goes for. I dont want to mess everything up by doing something I shouldnt.

I would run Prime for about 8 hours to ensure everything is fully stable. Quite strange you can't find the vcpu-nb voltages. Perhaps just just leave it at 3.4ghz? It's already a nice overclock for that chip.

Yea thats what im thinking. I looked around for ages for it, all I could find was VDDNB but I read somewhere thats different.

Ive been playing games on it for a few hours now and no hang ups. Didnt make much difference to my FFXIV benchmark but im happy with 3.4 anyhow
