Athlon X2 4400 or 4600 - Cant decide?

The 4400 is 2.2ghz with 2 x 1MB of L2 cache and the 4600 is 2.4ghz with 2 x 512KB of L2 cache

Which is the best option?

yer budget is limited to just over £100 (which is what i can get either of the X2's for) cant really go down the route of new mobo/ddr2 ram and new cpu. just want a little upgrade from my very old winnie.

Go with the X2 4400+, you can add more Mhz with overclocking but you can't add more cache.

that was what crossed my mind 1st, hummmm

Don't all the dual core Opterons come with 1MB L2 cache also?

some are 2 x 512kb and some are 2 x 1mb

so yer all come with 1mb but some come with 2mb
