Hi

I have had my athlon x4 630 up to 3.5Ghz with a vcore of 1.4v and ram at 833Mhz (GSkill DDR3 1600 Ripjaws @ 8.8.8.24)

Now as i obviously know, the heat at that clock speed is a bit higher then i would like 50+ on the stock cooler, hence me running at that speed for around 2 hours prime'in just to see what it would do. I can see it seemed stable for the few hours but didnt want to temp the heat for any longer on the stock cooler.

I would like to enquire as to what peoples recommendations would be (besides water) to cool this baby down to run at that speed?

I would be looking at a budget of 35ish, the case currently has 3 fans, push pull config with a side case fan for direct proccy fan air.

Any ideas, would like to pick it up tomorrow from the shop :)

edit: have seen this but no reviews...any good, know its over but if its worth it :D

Trying to stay at that budget i would say http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=HS-020-SY&groupid=701&catid=57&subcat=1395

Not for the fact that its not far of TRUE temps in a lot of tests or that fact that its way OTT for the 630 but its being a square will blow the air out the back where its supposed to go :p i use mugen on my 620 and 3.5ghz full prime load is only 45c in cheap case with no intake fans.
If you want to cheap the mighty Titan TTC-NK85TZ Fenrir should do for a 630 but you need to check which way it sits as i dont know on amds

cheers for that, i noticed it says by the review some issue with placement with high ram sticks. I also have the ripjaws like yourself, do you have any issues or you using the two slots away from the cpu?

No mate they fit....it is very tight but they do fit thats ofc with a 120mm fan pushing.

just a quick reply, the cooler has dropped my core temp to 35 under prime95, 25ish at idle. Its big though, had to remove my side case fan however the noise is not a bother at all, i seem to think its much softer. Need to plug the hole now in my case!
