Just looking to get a bit more grunt from my FM2+ board and checked this out.
As far as I can tell it's basically the same cpu as an A10 5800k with worse onboard gfx for around £16 cheaper.
I suppose it's £16 towards a GPU though so not bad for a cheap gaming PC.
Not worth it for me though...

It's not the same as a 5800K, that's Trinity (Piledriver) based the 860K is Kaveri (Steamroller) based (a newer architecture).

Basically if you don't need/want a GPU built into the CPU then the 860K is a better chip for less money.
 
There is no onboard gpu on these which would seem to make them pointless on the FM2 socket to me. Anyone that wants more grunt should be on AM3+.

It's an upgrade path for somebody looking to move away from an APU, somebody with an A4 or an A6 can buy one of these and get FX-4 grade performance without having to buy a new board.
