How quiet is the stock cooler on the card in question? Will either be going into a media pc or a 24/7 home server

ATI 1600XT - how quiet

I have a Sapphire 1600XT in a sff cube case and the damn thing was so noisy i took it out and stuck a Zalman VF700CU on it. Now it's nice and quiet, a lot cooler too.

yeah if its the cooler i am thinking off t hen ts pretty noisy certainly not quiet anyway. aftermarket cooler may be required.

tbh its only for a media box or a home server, if its noisy ill stick an old 32mb pci card in it, cant afford to spend more money really

Im just testing a sapphire 1600xt. The noise isnt a problem, at 100% its less then 30db imo
The temperature is worrying though, maybe the drivers are reading it wrong but this card seems to run really hot. Its well above 80 all the time at 100% fan
No artifacts but if anything the fan should be faster and/or noisier. I thought all these new low spec cards ran cool, it doesnt need any power cable.
8900 in 3dmark03 anyway.
Anyone have experience of a normal temp with these cards?
