ATI 2600XT 1080P issues

I've got the Toshiba 37" XV (37XV503DB) and am having trouble getting it to display at anything above 30hz at 1920x1080 (ATI 2600XT, HDMI). When I try a signal at 50hz the TV won't accept it and just shows a blue screen. It will work at 30Hz but that's not what I should be able to get.

EDID information suggests that it should do 1920x1080p @ 60Hz (or 50hz).
Gigabyte ATI 2600XT on XP SP3 with latest drivers (Catalyst 8.10)

Any suggestions?:confused:
 
Its a great value card, but 1920x1080 is pushing it quite a lot. I wouldn't be surprised if there was nothign wrong with it and it just can't handle it. what happens if you do 1080i?
