Hi i have recently brought a 2900xt and it is being powerd by a 600w power supply with only 1 six pin PCI-E connector.
I can not use ATI overdrive in CCC. Do i need a power supply with 2 six pin PCI-E connectors or one with an eight pin connector and one six pin connector to enable overdrive ?.

Oh and what power supply do you recommend thats not too expensive?

Thanks

What PSU is this?

So I guess your using 1 6pin PCI-E connector and one 6pin PCI-E - 2x Molex connector?

You can use Riviatuner/ATi Tool to overclock.

If your using the 1x 6x Pin of your PSU and the adapter that came with the card (so you have 2x 6x Pins plugged in), then thats fine, use ATi Tool etc... to overclock the card as said above, the 8x Pin is only needed to unlock the Overdrive section in the drivers to overclock. :)

Sorry to semi-hijack, but would a Corsair HX 620W be suitable for this graphics card?
