I once had a problem with the catalyst drivers, where certain shades of colours on my monitior (using DVI) were grainy. It was a very minor and barely noticeable problem and I only found one person on a different forum who was experiencing it. We both notified ATI of the problem and sure enough, in the next driver release it was fixed. They probably already knew of the problem, but its still worth a try; I'm pretty sure if enough people notify them, it will at least become a known driver issue.
